Akiko from Japan

Unique New Zealand has brought about a great change in my life. I studied at Unique for 6 months, and I started from intermediate level. Friendly teachers and staff supported my studies and life in New Zealand. It helped me to keep my motivation for learning high. They also offered students a variety of activities, self-learning facilities and free classes such as pronunciation class. I took those opportunities as much as possible.

After having a break for traveling the South Island, I went up to advanced class for Academic Purposes. I didn't have any academic purpose at first. However, it led me into necessary result soon. It made me to sit for a Danish top design university entrance exams during my stay in NZ.

Now, I'm in Denmark. I'm working at a design firm in Copenhagen using English and a little Danish after finishing the university. Great teachers and best friends I met at Unique still cheer for me from all over the world.

Teerapat from Thailand

The first time;when I touched Nz land.I felt very interested. Afterthat,I studied at Unique New Zealand. I think,it was a good time to use my English and make new friends. Also,It was a good chance to improve my English skills and share ideas with other people. However, every person in UNZ has a close relationship especially with Yui. I hope to comeback to Nz again, which I love.

Muslim from Thailand

First of all, I would like to say many thanks to whom it may concern in this language school, particularly the director, for giving me the great opportunity to come here to New Zealand (NZ).
Everything that happened was fascinating to experience for me in such a great country, NZ. Since I have been here (three weeks), I have learned many things which I hardly find in my country (Thailand). As a result, I am grateful to dedicated teachers whom I have always perceived as hard-working teachers, who try to teach us the language; I do appreciate that.
Therefore, I wish everyone, coming all walk of life, does study and improve the English language as much as you can in order to inspire yourself and others. Thank you very much

Peace be upon you

Kento from Japan

Hello. My name is Kento. I’m 18 years old and I’m Japanese.

Actually, I was not interested about learning English until I came to Unique New Zealand. I was very nervous whenever I spoke in English but when I started to learn English at Unique, I felt more comfortable about speaking English. All the teachers are very kind, friendly and always help us.

After I finished my course at Unique, I became a Takapuna Grammar School student. I love my school even it’s building because It’s an old building with a long history. I made a lot of kiwi and international friends.

Now, I’m going to PHIMS which is a hotel management school in New Plymouth, here in New Zealand and I will learn about hospitality but I have to move from Auckland and Unique...It’s quite sad but I believe that the time I spent in Auckland will be my unforgettable memories.

Farewell Speech by Elisabeth Jessen from Germany. Elisabeth and her two children all studied at Unique New Zealand

It’s always hard to say goodbye, but sometimes it’s even harder.  After being in your school for roundabout 9 weeks I can say that it was a pleasure and a great experience for me to study English in an atmosphere like this.

I haven’t been to school for a long time and when I was leaving school in Germany, most of my Unique New Zealand classmates were probably babies or not even born.  And to go to the same school as your kids is probably an additional experience, which is a little bit strange.  It’s also a funny situation when other students think that you should be a teacher, unfortunately not because of my English knowledge.  It was interesting to come in touch with students from different countries, different culture and language backgrounds.  There was no chance for me to meet people like this  before because we were living in a rural area and I really enjoyed talking to everyone here.

What makes this school so unique and probably different to other English schools?

It’s not this building, the tea and coffee for free or the classrooms, the success is based on the staff members and teachers who are responsible for offering a great job and support and for creating a great atmosphere.

My family and I have to relocate to Wellington and therefore a lot of things will change again in the future.  That’s the way the cookie crumbled and that’s a huge challenge and experience for me in the future.  We don’t know what the future will offer but I wish you all the best for your next steps.

Sasha from Russia

My name is Sasha. I’m 19 years old and I’m from Russia. I lived in NZ for two beautiful months.  I have never had such a hearty welcome as I had at Unique.

I went to school with great pleasure every day because in the class I had good friends and interesting exercises which helped me to study English easily.  All the time in NZ I was in a good mood.  Both pupils and teachers promoted this. They create friendly and natural conditions. I always felt encouraged by the admin staff.  Everybody was ready to help me.

I would like to assure parents who send their children to study abroad at Unique : you can be sure that your children will be kept safe, surrounded by care and concern.

Activities at weekends, choice of home-stay, Unique does these things with excellence.

In this school, I gained new interests, such as tennis and billiards.

Thanks Unique. I will miss you!

Aleksandra and Evgeny from Russia

Hello! My name is Aleksandra. My husband Evgeny and I decided to spend our holidays improving our English skills. We chose the school «UNIQUE NZ» because our friend had studied at this school and he was completely satisfied with his experience.

The education system in the school caters very well for the different aims of students.

So we had a great experience studying English grammar, communicating with teachers and other foreign students. Furthermore, we learned a lot of new things.

So we hope to visit New Zealand again some day and to continue studying at «UNIQUE NZ».

Hello, my name is Oleg, I am from Russia where I work as an international lawyer in one of Moscow's banks.

I visited New Zealand to improve my general English skills, and I was surprised by the high level of teaching and administration at the Unique New Zealand Language School. Apart from individual attention to each student and the excellent teaching facility, I found all personnel of this school very friendly and always ready to help even after finishing lessons.

I really appreciate all the effort of my teachers, and give my strong recommendation to this school for all who intend to study English.

Milan from The Czech Republic

I studied English language at Unique New Zealand for three months this year. If you want to study English in an easy going suburb of Auckland city - Browns Bay, only few metres from a nice beach, you won't make a mistake if you choose this English school.

This school can offer you a lot of activities, technical background, proactive teachers and a kind, personal and cosy atmosphere. Unique is a "family business" and it cares for about 200 students, mostly from Asia and South America. They help you with all problems and you can customize all your study as well.

You can find everything for living in Browns Bay from shops, banks, cafeterias and a Sunday Market to a Library and Leisure Centre.
The good spirit of the director Clive Oliver represents all employees (and they are not only from NZ). The mix of culture is typical for this country - my opinion is that you will like it, as much as study in Unique New Zealand English Language School and you will love this school as much as me.
